Load Types > Trapezoidal, Triangular and Variable Load

Selection of a Load Type of the load type group for the definition of element loads non-uniformly distributed over the elements.

SettingDescription
Trapezoidal element load Trapezoidal load distributed over the whole clear element length (linear increase or decrease of the load intensity).
Trapezoidal element load Trapezoidal moment loading distributed over the whole clear element length (linear increase or decrease of the moment intensity).
Partial trapezoidal load (PTXG, PTXL, PTYG, PTYL, PTZG, PTZL) Trapezoidal load distributed over a part of the clear element length (linear increase or decrease of the intensity from start to end point of loading).
Triangular element load (DREIG, DREIL) Triangular shaped distributed loading over the whole clear element length (linear increase from 0.0 at element ends to the maximum value in the center)
Variable load (QVAR..G, QVAR..L) The load intensity is described by a table (RM-Variable) as a function of a selected geometry parameter being the abscissa value. Allowed geometric reference parameters are:
  • Normalized local x coordinate (x/l).................(QVARNG, QVARNL)
  • Absolute local x coordinate ..........................(QVARLG, QVARLL)
  • Global X coordinate .....................................(QVARXG, QVARXL)
  • Global Y coordinate .....................................(QVARYG, QVARYL)
  • Global Z coordinate .....................................(QVARZG, QVARZL)
